Rachael Lieck Bryce is the owner of Momentum Pilates Studio,
a classical studio in Charlottesville.
Before moving to Virginia in August 2006, she taught Pilates in Austin, TX for five years. Rachael started her Pilates career after finding the Pilates Method over 10 years ago in dance. She co-founded realmdanceproject a not-for-profit professional dance company in 1998. She received her first certification in the Pilates Method under Master Instructor Colleen Glenn in 2002. She has since worked with many Master Instructors, and has received a second Certification through Power Pilates in New York City. She has worked with clients ranging from ages 10 to 80, with all levels of fitness ability and has helped many students recover from injury. Rachael is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), an international not-for-profit professional association for the Pilates method.

Jennifer Arrington discovered Pilates two years ago while working as an assistant manager for Body Works Studio, a movement center based on the Pilates Method, The Fletcher Work and the Gyrotonic Expansion System. When she first began practicing Pilates, she was training for her second full marathon and was amazed by the difference it made. After returning to Virginia in 2006, following her time in Tucson as an Americorps volunteer and assistant manager at Body Works Studio, she began teaching Pilates Mat and Pilates “On the Ball” classes at The Blue Ridge Health & Fitness Center in Stanardsville. Jennifer has completed the Power Pilates Beginner Mat Certification Program, and will attend intermediate Mat Certification in December 2007. Jennifer believes her joy of movement and teaching make her classes challenging, fun and empowering.

Grace Ranson-Dieter has been teaching Yoga in Charlottesville since 2001. She has studied Yoga in both the United States and India, and is certified in Hatha I and II, Prenatal, Postnatal and Labor Yoga. She draws her strengths primarily from the ancient science of Hatha, which provides diversity of movement. Grace first found the Pilates Method in 2006 as a complement to her work in Yoga. She found that it contributed to a more balanced strength throughout her body, which has helped prevent injury and improved her Yoga. She has completed the Power Pilates Beginner Mat Certification Program, and will attend Intermediate Mat Certification in December 2007. Grace lives in Barboursville with her husband and two daughters.

Jean Schmitt moved to Charlottesville from Omaha, NE in June of 2006 with her husband and two young boys. She has enjoyed a love of exercise and athletics since childhood. Having played collegiate sports taught her the importance of living a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Jean was introduced to the Pilates method of exercise in 2002 and has enjoyed being a student in a variety of Mat and Advanced Reformer classes. In the fall of 2007, she pursued teacher training and received her Beginner Mat Certification from Power Pilates. She will attend Intermediate Mat Certification in December 2007. Jean has a BA in Industrial Relations and a MA in Management. She enjoys being outdoors, playing sports with her boys, running, hiking, lifting weights, reading books and of course, doing Pilates! Jean looks forward to this new journey in her life teaching classical Pilates at Momentum Pilates Studio.
