Jennifer Arrington discovered Pilates two years ago while
working as an assistant manager for Body Works Studio, a movement
center based on the Pilates Method, The Fletcher Work and the
Gyrotonic Expansion System. When she first began
practicing Pilates, she was training for her second full marathon
and was amazed by the difference it made. After returning to Virginia
in 2006, following her time in Tucson as an Americorps volunteer
and assistant manager at Body Works Studio, she began teaching
Pilates Mat and Pilates “On the Ball” classes at The
Blue Ridge Health & Fitness Center in Stanardsville. Jennifer
has completed the Power Pilates Beginner Mat Certification Program,
and will attend intermediate Mat Certification in December 2007.
Jennifer believes her joy of movement and teaching make her classes
challenging, fun and empowering.

Grace
Ranson-Dieter has been teaching Yoga in Charlottesville
since 2001. She has studied Yoga in both the United States and
India, and is certified in Hatha I and II, Prenatal, Postnatal
and Labor Yoga. She draws her strengths primarily from the ancient
science of Hatha, which provides diversity of movement. Grace
first found the Pilates Method in 2006 as a complement to her
work in Yoga. She found that it contributed to a more balanced
strength throughout her body, which has helped prevent injury
and improved her Yoga. She has completed the Power Pilates Beginner
Mat Certification Program, and will attend Intermediate Mat Certification
in December 2007. Grace lives in Barboursville with her husband
and two daughters.
